The last race of the season was this last weekend in Reno. We missed it, my partners father died and I had other drama getting in the way. We won't compete again until King of the Hammers the first week of next Feb; but between now and then need to put down a thousand miles of desert, a couple dozen rock trails and then completely rebuild the car. ;)
10's of thousands of people do show up, but they show up the morning of the main race, and leave again that night. Maybe 4000 camp for the week in a 40,000 acre space.
I'll be out at Superstition Mountain near El Centro with the car Halloween weekend, and then out at the Hammers Nov 21-24 putting down some hard miles.
Oh, to put this back on topic; those will be the second and third trips out with my TC resto project. :)
