A triple tows really straight and has less sway, but there's a lot of tire scrub when making tight turns. Take a look at the toy hauler threads and you will see the poor built frames have trouble with the triples and the spring hangers bend or crack. I have also heard that some of the weaker rims fail due to side loads associated with wheel scrub.
