It takes two things for water to freeze to cause burst pipes: 1. temperature below 32 degrees and 2. time.
The closer the temperature is to 32 degrees, the longer the pipes have to be subjected to below freezing.
1 hour at - 10 degrees is significantly more damaging than 1 hour at 31 degrees.
4 to 5 hours in the mid to high 20's is enough to cause concern. Do the best you can to mitigate any issues by draining the lines as previously posted.
