While in the Albuquerque area, consider the Coronado Campground, by the Town of Bernallilo - just north. We really enjoyed it while friends that stayed in the other options in the same area were not impressed with their accommodations. Here's a blog post with some photos: Coronado Campground, Overlooking the Rio Grande
In the area, we enjoyed hiking at Tent Rocks and exploring the culture and art. The Coronado Historic Site, across from the campground was well worth a bit of time exploring and learning.
After Coronado, we ventured up to Chaco Canyon Historic Park which was a highlight of our few months in the 4 corners area. It's a rough road to get in, but we took it slow with our 4 Runner and Lance 1685 20' trailer and made it with no problem. There's a gas station right at the corner where you turn off for dirt/rock rutted road, so no worries about running out of gas. Is it Possible To Take A Travel Trailer to Chaco Canyon?
So much to see and do. ENJOY!
