About how tall is that stand? I'm going to make some stands and was looking for a reference.
For years now with several different trailers I've found a 4x stand which is 6" high because it consists of four pieces of 2x screwed together to be just right for reducing tongue jack extension. :)
Only when we're situated on a tongue low campsite will I instead use a single 3/4" piece of plywood under the tongue jack.
At home our driveway slopes significantly to the street so I augment the 4x stack with an additional two more 4x stacks for a total stack height of 18".
What I'd like to do is steal an idea from another Forum member that used two interlocking wood pieces, the middle of each piece forming a dado or cut out for the other. The pieces slid into each other and formed a cross when upright. I've lost track of the thread where they were pictured but the design was novel because the two flat wood pieces slid apart to store easily or could even be used for leveling. I figured if I made them from some engineered plank I have around here that they would support considerable weight.
Like some of my other projects, I've got to get some Roun2it on it.
