Do like the bank does when you try to deposit a check. Tell "Mr. Frost" you will deposit the check and it will take a week before you do further action. If the check clears, you will proceed. If its a scam, you've not lost anything.

Why do you think banks make you wait 3 days before making funds available after depositing ANY check except your employment direct deposit pay?
