To coin a phase from one of the post above, IT'S A SCAM. PLAIN & SIMPLE.

This is an very old scam. They tried on me twice and the 1st one was long before Craigslist exists. Just tell him you only accept cerified check or cash only. They will stop responding. Don't waste your time going to the bank or call to verify. It's a fake check.
