Sorry about this cold snap heading your way. Even in West TN it hasn't been fun. Agree on getting the furnace going. One thing you do need to include is to open your cabinet doors under the kitchen sink and bathroom vanity at night to get the warmth in there. Assuming it warms up above freezing during the day, you can set the thermostat at a lower temp, but if not, keep it higher. Depending on how many days you'll be in this cold, be advised that you'll go through a bunch of propane if the heat is on high all the time. Maybe during the daytime the electric will be fine. We never, ever in 8 years ran out of propane, but our DGS and GF used the trailer for a visit and we forgot to have them shut the furnace off during the day and we were out of propane in 2+ days. If you have a spare tank at home, suggest you just take it with you already filled.
Good time for a trip to NO FL, huh? We're moving to Lakeland in a few weeks and want NO MORE of this freezing mess! We still have a nice layer of snow, ice, more snow and can't even walk across the street right now. Supposed to be like this the rest of the week. At least we don't live in Boston.
