Is there any downside to staying plugged in to home electric between trips...could be 3-6 weeks at a time? We generally leave the fridge off, but 9-year old son loves doing his homework out there and ...

Turn off the battery and plug in from Day 1 of the season until Winterizing Day. Frig is always fully loaded and ready to go...just toss in the last minute food, clothes, check the tires and torque and hook up. We do run the A/C at just a bit higher temp than if we were actually camping. Keeps everything fresh and dry...no musty smell. If your DS loves to do his homework out there, don't stand in his way! Cost is minimal and it gives everybody an escape when things get tough in the house.
