6 hour drive for me, will have to discuss with my wife as it would need to be a four day trip (anything over a 3 hour drive, I'm going to make it worth my time!

Sort of. The good is that lots of fireroads and the one "Jeep" trail to the lookout.
The bad...its fireroads. A better spot is Hoo Doo ski area. Hundreds of miles of trails, lookouts like the Mill City one I posted...and free dry camping. Downside..it is DUSTY due to Volcanic sand. Very fine...to the point we use Wolf snounts and just accept...everything you own will be caked in dust and you might bring a new airfilter.
But we still love it.
