I carried bikes on the front of the truck when we had our Northstar. Never had an issue with PD, BUT did have my own issue...didn't like the light bouncing back off the bike tire rims when headlights were on. Like another poster stated - mounted 2 driving lights down low in the middle so the light went below the bikes - that made a huge difference. Also - could never put a cover over the bikes (moreso from overheating and greatly decreased airflow) - so bikes always got covered with road grime. Also learn to watch for higher curbs - have seen bikes with bent rims from folks catching them on curbs, etc. They made it a bit of a challenge to do daily under the hood checks, too. Much happier now with bikes on the back of our current van. ST
