My son just bought a used 2010 Quicksilver 8.0 which is really basic. Can we upgrade the counter top top add the 2 burner stove and furnace below. There is no propane at this time, so we would have to add the lines, tank and holder. Or is he better off buying a portable 2 burner camp stove that he can place on the counter and use a Mr Heater Buddy. We could probably make propane hookups for both the stove and Mr Heater so he can us3 a 20lb tank.
The standard camp stove uses high pressure, for outside use against the wind, and therefore produces Carbon Monoxide indoors. NOT smart to use an outdoor stove, inside.
I have a Mr. Buddy Heater. It's not recommended for use while sleeping due to the possibility of producing Carbon Monoxide. It has a low oxygen shutoff as it needs a good flow of air coming into the camper (must leave a window open). Leaving a window closed will deplete the camper of Oxygen, and not allow complete combustion of fuel, leading to the Mr. Buddy Heater producing Carbon Monoxide if it can't get enough air. I wouldn't rely on the shutoff when my life is on the line.
We use ours in the tents. We use it before we go to sleep, and when we get up. We do not use it while we are sleeping. I don't want to chance it.
If you need heat while sleeping, you need a furnace that can exhaust outdoors with a heat exchanger or use electric heat.
There may be an indoor stove sold. Magic Chef "MAY" be indoor compatible. It's the model with a 2 burner stove over an oven. I would check and make sure it can be used indoor.
I would only use a portable electric heater for sleeping.
