We had a 2007 Bayside for several years, kings on each end plus a slide dinette and front storage trunk. It wasn't a high wall but was on the large end of pop ups and was very roomy inside. We had a lot of fun in it but the setups and tear downs just sucked. Three per outing - once for packing, once for camping and once for cleanup back home. If we planned ahead and were disciplined we could eliminate the third setup if we got lucky with moisture, but generally we just threw **** in and went because the kids were melting down. My biggest frustration with it was not being able to start getting the camper torn down and hooked up on the last morning until my wife got the kids all ready and out, and then she had to entertain the kids while waiting for me to finish up. With our fifth wheel I can get camp cleaned up and the trailer hooked up and ready to roll while they're still inside getting things put away, teeth brushed, etc., and once they're done I am too and we can roll out.
There are lots of other pros and cons to consider, but to me a pop up is a pretty poor compromise at least for us. I'd rather either just have a tent or go all the way up to a TT/FW/RV.
