Anything that goes fast around the Nurburgring has to go fast around corners, a whole lot of corners?
As well as towing 5000lb doing it. For people from.NA they use cars a lot to tow in Europe.
The first post in this long winded thread should have been it.
It was a RECORD ATTEMPT by the trailer manufacturer and Porsche

Larry Larson 5.95 @ 244mph
Similar cars run here 3000hp. What I am interested in is this Ford Falcon XR6 7.8 at 180mph, straight 6 4 litre Barra engine. Street registered and would go 2000miles to a meet.

The point is there is zero chance anyone in the US would use a $300,000 Porsche to tow anything so it's the same a me posting that funny car link.
Ya think? I don't. I agree that no one is likely to tow with the Porsche but at least they could.
Fascinating that noone has mantioned that it is a car and a Sportscar at that, doing the towing record. They do use cars , SUV's Vans and Trucks for towing in Europe. Some of the not very common Pickups are now being used. - RobertRyanExplorer

Not in the US, but they used the Porsche to set a towing record and on that course would need something similar to break it.A 1 Ton is not going to do it.
I think the Porsche would give the towing record for midsizers on the TFL favourite
Ike Gauntlet site a big shake. Hitting 130mph then stopping to do that twisty course as well as climbing and ascending the 1000ft hills on the course
