Other than brand name attention, it bears little relevance on real world conditions. I am sure that countries in Europe have speed limits that also apply to vehicles that are towing. I don't see it as a challenge for any of the world's truck manufacturers to send their vehicle(s) there to try and break the record set by Porsche. A truck will never have the handling/cornering capabilities of a car. Of course one of the world's truck makers can turn the tables a little and do the test a different way. The Porsche can tow a 7,000 lb. plus truck on a transport trailer around that track. Then the truck gets to run around the track towing the Porsche on a trailer. The obvious outcome would not be acceptable to the automaker then. :)
