Porta Bote attached to my TC

Craigslist would probably be a good place for reduced price for sure. DH is the biggest stumbling block right now. Says we already resemble Gypsies what with the cargo tray/step loaded with Gen, water can and gas can, then the blue boy on one side in back and chairs in ladder on the other. LOL He may be right! But then gypsies do get to travel a lot and that's the idea, go while we can as, often as we can, as far as we can until we can't anymore. I'd rather die traveling rather than sitting at home waiting it out.

To trailgranny: Keep an eye out on craigslist, we found ours for a real bargain, go low on your offer. When folks want out of a boat no offer will be out of the question.

YADY, go to www.truckcampermagazine.com in the search window put "Skip Bosley" hit enter. At the end of "Secret Mission to the Sunshine State" is a photo of our rig with how the portabote mount looks. We have carried it all over from Alaska to the Florida Keys. It has been a very useful rig.

Here's me turning green over anyone being able to HAVE a Port A Boat. I'd find SOME way to mount the sucker of I could get one! Can't talk DH into it and since our travel time looks to be less than originally anticipated guess I may just have a bad case of the "I wants". Enjoy yours, I'll be thinking of everyone with one while we sit on the bank wishing we could get out in the water.

Thanks skipbee. This is what I'm looking for. Using the PBote brackets will lend themselves to locking the boat. As well as more stable.

We used 3/4" "L" stock bolted together to provide facing to bolt the portabote holders to the jack mounts. We have a 12' model, and carry the motor and gear in a roof pod.

There are a couple of Folks here that have their p-botes mounted on their jacks (skipbee?).
Our 14'er is too long...it would block the truck doors on one side!
I did throw it up on top last night though...ready to roll!

I'll do that 805. I've mounted my PBote on the jacks before. Using tension straps/turn buckle straps cinched to the hydraulic jack mounts. That worked well enough yet I'd like something more stable.

Go over to the Lance forum and do a search, someone mounted their Portabot to the pass side jack legs

It looks like your options are limited. The Porta Bote instructions CLICKY seem to indicate that the spacing of the brackets is dependent on the length of boat. You could U-bolt two stringers running from jack to jack, spaced vertically the distance between the mounting holes of the brackets.
