The new Honda EU2200i will successfully start & run a 13,500 BTU A/C, especially if that A/C is equipped with a Micro-Air Easy Start Soft Starter Kit. Genset forum pundits, most of whom who have never owned a premium Honda or Yamaha genset, will always question the cost and although there are plenty of happy Champ owners remember there is still an equivalency between cost and long term reliability. Your choice. ;)
and based on experience this summer it will run at least a dometic 13.5KBTU at 6000+ ft. something the honda 2000 would NOT do even at 4000ft. But the key is honda 2200 AND the microair easy start. the dometic wouldn't start at 4000ft on a cool day w/o the easy start with the 2200 or 2000.
