Portable Power...mounting ideas

I have a Jayco White Hawk 29REKS with dual AC units...50 amp plug.

I am wanting to be able to camp without hookups on Port A Beach.

I am wondering if it would be feasible to "mount" a generator/invertor (something quiet) somehow on the rear bumper. I want it to be secure from easy theft.

Then I have to decide on size and fuel. On the beach, I would probably just use 1 AC unit, Flat Screen TV and Lights. The fridge and hot water heater could run off propane. If I got a propane generator, I already have a line run from the front bottles to a BBQ Grill hookup that we don't use.

I want to do this right and spend good money ONCE. Any suggestions/pics would be greatly appreciated.

Been looking at the Yamaha EF3000iSEB with boost technology. With a 50amp to 30 amp plug...I think it could run the AC/lights/micro/TV...fridge and water heater could run off propane.

From ad: The 3000 Watt EF3000iSEB weighs 149.9 pounds and starts with ease with its electric starter. Designed to be acoustically sound, this extremely quiet generator (53-60 dBA) features Smart Throttle which allows greater fuel efficiency and noise reduction. It will run up to 19 hours at ΒΌ rated load on a tank of gas. With features such as Built-In Wheels, Boost Technology, and an Oil Watch Warning System, the EF3000iSEB is a powerful yet portable medium-range inverter!
    Worried about this: Rated AC Current / Maximum 23.3 / 25 amps @ 120V

For about the same price you can buy two yamaha 2000 inverter generators and then connect them together for 4000watts to run AC, Etc. They also only weigh 47 pounds. That's the set up I have and I love it.
Wise sales says 44 lbs. That would be a weight difference between the 3K and the 2 X 2K sets of 61 lbs. I'd also assume that running one 2K (if not needing air) would be a lot quieter than the 3K.

Not so..I own both the 2 and 3K Honda's.Both are fine generators but in my opinion, the 3K is by far the best and quietest,no comparison! The Honda 3K is the quietest generator out there except for the Yamaha 1000..

I've owned about all the generators out there including several Onan's and my choice by far is the Honda 3K with Yamaha coming in second for a one generator for everything, option.
  • What specific model of the Honda 3K do you have? I think they make 2 different ones.
  • The inverter IS not the noisy handi. My sons friend has a handi 3k and it's just flat out noisy compared to either the 2 or 3K Honda inverters, almost as loud as my 4K Generac.
  • The problem with me and the Honda Handi is the small fuel tank . My Honda 3,000 will run my air well beyond 20 hours !

Correct, the Handi is noisier as to can see in the dB rating compared tot the regular (expensive) EU3000. It was offered as a cheaper alternative to the EU3000.
