- covered_wagonExplorerHard to tell if you guys are serious.... anyway I'm headed for the Eastern Seirra in October if you really got to have a weight party. There.... guess I'll have to supply burgers and donuts for the police and their deputies.

BUT. If the offer of hotdoggy and coors is there I wouldn't turn it down. Lol
Me too!
But with the size of these rigs can't we do both, and maybe smoke some salmon or ribs and have a stocked bar too?? - kohldadExplorer IIIDoor sticker from my 2015 SRW Ram 4x4 Crew Cab Long Bed 6.4 Hemi.
Payload capacity based on the sticker is 4,300.
Front GAWR is 5,500
Rear GAWR is 7,000
GVWR is 11,300
From CAT Scale when brand new on the way home from the dealership, full tank of fuel and my 150# self.
Front Axle: 4,220
Rear Axle: 3,020
Total: 7,240
If you subtract my 150#, it's within 100# from the sticker.
I haven't scaled it yet since I've done the mods like tie downs, bedliner, winch, remove tailgate, and my usually daily junk, but from my last truck, know this is about 300# of stuff and my camper weighs 2,400 pounds loaded for a long trip. Knowing that, I'm still about 1,400# under my GVWR. - VinsilExplorerI'd prefer a burger and make my beer an ipa. Yeah, I'm that guy.

Sure would like the beer and hotdogs offer on official certificate ... - jimh406Explorer III

Pretty good so far. We have offers of beer and hotdogs, and then, the random off topic posts that happen on every thread. ;) - Grit_dogNavigatorJimh, see what you started? Lol
- FarmerjonExplorerMissouri Registration Fees
Registration fees for trucks, including all pickup trucks and all utility-type vehicles that are registered as trucks, are determined by your truck’s weight, and whether you will be using the truck locally (within 50 miles from home) or over a wider area. Your truck’s weight includes the weight of any other trailers or property that you might haul during the registration period.
Local 6,000 lbs. $15.75 $3.50 $31.50 $7.00

In California, if you have a commercial vehicle, you pay for your registration according to what weight you want to register it for.Kayteg1 wrote:
You buy your ratings? Huh....makes me think that the factory stickers are meaningless. At least when it comes to money..Farmerjon wrote:
Wow! Since my trucks are registered for 24,000+ that puts me about 12,000lbs under my registered weight.:D
Don't you buy GCWR stickers in your state?
That is what we have to buy in CA.
I had F250 with 9900lb GVWR register for 25,000 lb due the heavy trailer.
DID SOMEBODY SAY FREE BEER AND HOTDOGS ????
I had my 11,000 GVWR F350 cab/chassis truck registered for 15,000 and then later 20,000, to cover a heavier trailer.
The minimum weight you can register for is 15,000.
The CA DMV gives you 2 weight stickers, which must be displayed on each side of the vehicle, so they can see them as you pull through the scales, which you are required to go through with any commercial truck in CA.
The above does not apply to pickups. It only applies to trucks trucks over 10,000 GVWR, fitted with flatbeds, utility beds, dump beds, box bodies, other work type beds, or trucks with no bed, used as 5th wheel tractors.
Pickups are not allowed on the scales in California.
