I once weighted everything I put in my TT and TV. The TT included groceries, water in Fresh water tank, cloth, bedding, fire wood, tools, spare tire and etc, it came to about 1000 lbs. I weight all the TV adders; tools, chairs, truck cap, camping gear, people, dog etc. it came to about 700 lbs.
If I figure about 700 lbs. for TT tongue weight and 700 lbs. for truck cargo, I am right at the limit for the 1400 lbs. TV payload.
I seemed close enough and the trailer pulls well, handles well, does not sway or fish tail and stops well. I will eventually run it over the scales but I am not yet finished tweaking the “must have” load.
