"and a partridge in a pear tree".
Re longer trips and shopping....we found on our trip to the UP that I tried to WAY overpack...cabinets, frig, freezer, clothes. First, the frig and freezer don't work as efficiently when they're packed solid - air needs to circulate. And we were told that sometimes even in July, the UP will have a nasty cold snap so to bring a heavy jacket. To DH that means a couple of sweatshirts, a lighter jacket, a heavy jacket and a cap. Whatever. We have one hooded sweatshirt each that stays in the trailer full-time. That's usually plenty. Think we did added a mid-weight jacket for CO, but otherwise don't need extras. I now plan menus and we pack for only about 5 days. We rather enjoy a stop for resupply. Usually we manage a CG on the longer trips that has a good laundry facility and a couple of hours of laundry is no problem. Actually, we meet some pretty great folks in the laundry room!
