Power Inverter

I was wondering if anyone has a diagram of how they installed an inverter so they could use their Tele while connected to batteries only?

I only need 2 outlets on the inverter. Would it work if I just connected direct to the battery and ran lines for 2 outlets, one up front of the TT and one in the back, and connected them directly to the inverter?
    Yep----go for it.
  • The TV in our TT came with a brick power supply and barrel connector. The power supply was rated for 12V, so I bought another barrel connector at Radio Shack along with a cigarette lighter power cord. After verifying the polarity 3 times I plugged it into the 12V outlet and turned it on. Voila! - TV on 12V!
And to boot the Jensen radio / DVD player is also 12V. So our granddaughter got to watch a few DVD's while we dry camped.
  • I could do the 12 volt tv option, but I already have the 120v in the trailer and dont want to put out more $$$ on another tv when I have one in place. I also need to be able to charge a couple things I dont have 12v chords for. Will like to use the tv while sitting in bed before going to sleep and dont want to get up and turn off the generator when all cozy in bed.
  • As an alternative, you can get a 12 volt television. No inverter needed.

  • You need an inverter to change 12v to 110v, they come with directions. The only thing is to decide how large a unit to get.
  • Thought that didnt look right. Television and would like to run DVD player also. we dont have a coffee maker and would only run the Microwave on Generator when needed. Other then that we would use it to charge cell phone and portable dvd player if needed.
  • What is a Tele ???

The converter doesn't do anything if not connected to 110V AC power source.
