Above approx. 2.5KW, inverter generators get MUCH heavier and bulkier - They're no longer suitcase-sized.
They also get considerably more expensive.
Installing a
Electronic soft-start kit makes it a lot easier to run a single roof air conditioner with a 2KW inverter model.
(For air conditioners 13.5K BTU and larger, Micro-Air still recommends using an inverter generator with more than 80 CC of engine displacement. The 2KW (100 CC) and 2.2KW (120 CC) Honda models meet this recommendation).
