Solar is a mindset. Its not about saving money or getting power as economically as possible. We all know you can get power from a reasonably priced genset.
But the issue eventually comes back to noise. Years ago an inverter genset was the best you could do.
The inverter was much quieter than a screaming open frame genset.
However in 2022 we know absolute quiet it possible.
Complete silence is the new standard. The bar has been raised.
Those looking for a truly peaceful camping experience can now have A/C without the noise.
In 2012 my 5500lp Onan was the only option for convenient push button power. The noise of the Onan was considered tolerable. However in 2022 there are other options including solar powered A/C that is total quiet!
A prices continue to fall solar will continue to become the new standard.
