Hi again everyone. So we are 95% sure we will be going with Solitude 365 DEN We were waiting to get hubby his new truck after picking our new 5W. Now that we have this thing is a beast. We were always thinking of going with a 08-13 Sierra/Chevy 3500 6.7 diesel (after all of your help in the beginning). Now the question is dually or SRW for this 5W? Hubby is pushing for a dually, but I are hesitant as this will be his everyday vehicle also. What would you all do? I figured Id come to some towing vets, to get thoughts and opinions. Thanks. Are top concerns are safety and making long trips easier on hubby towing. Thanks.

Hubby is right :W Fully loaded to 16k should be about the max rating of the SRW truck, as far as pin weight. I'd rather have a bigger margin for weight instead of maxing out the two drive tires.

That's dually territory At 16K GVWR any one of the Big 3 2015/2016 350/3500 in SRW would handle the weight only problem would be exceeding GCVWRsSo you would need to pick the right SRW (Trim level, gearing, payload) I tow with SRW at max weight. Steady, comfy tow ------ no white knuckles.But I ordered my SRW for max tow.

Hi. What you pick as a puller for your given 5-Whl. You have half of the answer. Now find what puller that will do the best job single or double, you have to be comfortable with it. Look around a lot before buying.

Pretty sure we picked our 5W, now we need to pick a TV.

Based on your top concern and your husband's initial desire for dually, that is what I would go with. Having owned both dually and SRW trucks the difference in driving and parking is minimal.

I'm not a fan of duellies, but that's what I'd get for a trailer that big. Also, diesel for sure.

My solution to not being a duelly fan is to limit the trailer size.

I am another one who is not fan of duallys, but I would definitely recommend it for a several year old truck and 5er that size. That listed 3,200 lb hitch weight will likely be quite a bit more when loaded for travel.

Yes, I would get a dually for that. We just got a 328M Grand Design and I have a SRW 1 ton diesel. Any bigger, and I would get a dually. On a side note, your trailer shows fresh water as only 54 gal? Is that a typo? Ours has a 117 gal. fresh water tank, not that I need all that, but 54 gal. seems small for that large of a trailer.
