Less Stuff and Kayteg1 I really appreciate your choices of vehicles that resulted in the price of diesel going down. I bought my first diesel a 1996 Dodge (previously used) in 2001. I bought it because I liked everything about it, without giving any thought to the cost of diesel compared to gas. When I discovered diesel was cheaper, it was a bonus. My previous trucks were gas, and typically got about 10 MPG without a TC. During the past 14 years, with the cost of fuel going up and down, considering the MPG my diesel always cost less per mile in fuel. As for maintenance, the diesel was/is far less expensive than my gassers were.
My 1996 diesel has served me well, and still does. As a result, I am in the process of purchasing a 2004.5 Dodge diesel. My interest in the purchase is for the luxuries the 2004.5 has to offer, and with only 104,000 miles.
I hope you guys continue to buy gas vehicles.
