JJ Spectre,
Don't need a hobby as I have so many. Being a retired engineer of about 4 decades, analyzing and/or deciphering pics and documents is just easy, quick, and natural to/for me.
The photo is real it was hooked up, engineer or not. You are wrong.
I guess you have not gotten gas at Costco before, but anyone who has gotten gas there will tell you have plenty of time to get out and walk about. I get all my gas there. What would I gain by lying about it? Why would I have taken the time post it?
It was interesting to me that guy was towing a pretty good size trialer with a Prius. What else in that photo would be towing it? It came off my phone. When you blow it up it is even more obvious.
I have said my peace. You Nay sayers can go on trashing me, but I know what I saw and have no reason to lie.
Good day.
Count me in as believing you. No reason why the Prius couldn't tow that little TT a short distance on flat ground. I towed one about that size with an '84 Isuzu P'up diesel years ago. Less HP than the Prius. It would barely do 60mph flat out in 4th gear against the governor but it did it. Any incline or slight breeze would knock it down to 45~mph. We only did it once. If the trailer is gutted for a hunting shelter or meth lab, it probably doesn't weigh 1500 lbs with 150 lbs on the hitch.
