- ls1mikeExplorer IIAWESOME! On the Prius board, if you read it, that picture was also taken at the Silverdale Costco...Same place I took my picture.
Weird. I must have lied about it and made the picture up too...

That's just an optical illusion. That car is clearly towing the ship! - sky_freeExplorer

That is it! Where did you get that? That is the one!
Or what I mean to say is, do you know where that was taken? Just wonder how far the guy travels.
I should have talked to the guy. If the kids had not had so much "energy" I would have.
Oh and thank you. I would not have lied about it.
You're welcome! I searched on images.google.com and it popped right up.

Looks to be about a 14' Lark, or very similar to one I owned back in that era.
How long is that TT? Looks remarkably large for a single axle trailer. - ls1mikeExplorer II

Not back in the 1960's. My family camped regularly...all summer...during the '60's and this trailer isn't that unusual.
I imagine it is like a 3500 to 4000 pound axle. - carringbExplorerThe Pruis CVT is a planetary drive. I actually wouldn't be concerned about that, especially since the computer won't really damage anything.
The rear suspension however is really lightweight. Also power of the combustion motor is pretty low, so the power-train really can't provide the sustained HP that I would want for a full profile trailer.
FWIW - one of m former customers tows a 24' tandem axle TT with her Ford Escape Hybrid. She has over 100k on the thing, towing regularly. She says performance is great. The Escape has a very similar power-train to the Prius, and some of the controls are essentially shared. - LessmoreExplorer II

Not a big deal, just don't see it a lot here. I think it is more of a question of how the CVT will hold up and what the hitch is hooked into on the unibody. - Road_RulerExplorerIt is no big deal folks for a 3,000lb vehicle to tow a 2,500lb TT.
