That "fix" is temporary at best.
If they made a BETTER QUALITY unit in the first place the OP would not NEED the "customer support" at all.
I don't just randomly hand out credit card numbers and now days it is even more important to be careful with that.
The REAL fix is to replace the junk with a known good brand of car stereos. Most car stereo manufacturers take a lot of care and pride in what they build and sell.. Their Quality is recognized by the fact that they RARELY will need to replace one of their products under warranty.
Do what you want, but I would rather replace with better and never need to deal with it again..
