There is a recall on Dometic A/C's built in the era you are talking about. Contact Dometic with your serial and model numbers. They replaced our 15000 btu last spring, sent a mobile tech to our house to do the work. They even gave us a five warranty on our 13500 btu unit that is in the recall, it is still works great though.
