Problems with removing propane / battery when storing
Just bought mt first TT in Feb. We just got back from our second trip, total of about 5 weeks and are not going out again for a month or so.
I live on a very small lot in a beach community and parking is at a premium. I have kept it on my lot since Feb but have to keep moving vehicles around because of it.
I have a vacant lot close by and am thinking I will store it there between uses. Looking at easy things to steal I see the battery and propane tanks as prime targets.
I would think the battery would be better disconnected while idle so removal of it should not be problem...is that smart thinking?
Is there a problem in removing the propane tanks and taping up the connectors to keep bugs / trash out during an idle period?
Also was thinking of covering the tires that will be exposed to sunlight daily ( one side ) with plastic or plastic bags. Is that ok or do I need the wheel / tire covers sold commercially at CW etc?
Let tires sit on dirt or plywood blocks I use for leveling or something else?
unit is 2007 Aerolite 718fd
thanks
