Sad to say, my past experience is that this problem got worse and worse until the slide stopped operating. The only method of manual retraction is to pull the motors and push like hell.
At that point, a repair shop needs to get a new slide out rack from Lippert and install it. Lippert builds them on demand and it takes about 3 weeks to get. Cost + installation ran $1,400-1,800.
And I did the motor synchronization every time.
