With it apart, It helped me figure how to do it. THe control panel is on the opposite side as the oil fill/check/drain/spark plug. So I will mount it in the camper with the maintenance side toward the door, and remotely mount the controls just inside the door, off to the side with clearance to access the maintenance items.
The engine driven fan pulls in fresh air across the inverter to cool it, then into the engine shroud, then out the opposite side through another fan and housing. The cooling air exits it adjacent to the muffler exit. So I will mount the inverter just inside the cabinet door vent, and run a duct from the fan exit, out the bottom, and run an exhaust pipe out the bottom as well.

This plate is mounted below the "generator ready compartment". I'm going to take it off and put it on the bench, and construct the whole thing on the bench. Then just jack it up into place and wire it in with an automatic transfer switch. Sounds simple enuff.
