Propane heater issue

I have an issue somewhere in the system I'm trying to diagnose. I turn the thermostat on, and I hear the ignition clicking and the propane burn for about 2 seconds then cut off. After that it clicks and ignites itself for another 2 seconds and cuts off. It does that until it starts working. Sometimes it only takes one ignition, sometimes it takes 20, other times I just dont use it cause I feel like it will tear up.
Does anyone have a clue as to the issue?
Any input is appreciated, and thanks ahead of time!

I have an atwood furnace
  • Whats your altitude now, has it worked fine before at different altitude? Higher and lower air pressures do affect the sail switch and much more.
When it does light what does the flame sound like?
Loud and roaring- too much air - low altitude effect - restrict air intake
Quiet and sooty - not enough air- high altitude effect- reduce propane pressure.
