The slight problem is when getting gas, as the flame from the frig's burner could possibly ignite the fumes from the pump. I've never heard of this happening, but it is possible. We have an indoor/outdoor temperature gauge right above our frig with the outdoor sensor inside the frig. It will stay below 50 all day even when opened for lunch UNLESS outside temps above 90. If we see the frig temps getting close to 50, we turn on the frig, otherwise we don't.
