Separate tow vehicle and RV
- upgrade one or the other at any time
- more options on the RV : pop up, hybrid, travel trailer, fifth wheel
- free TV for side trips, don't have to pack up everything and have a hard time parking (or haul around a towed vehicle)
- TV available for use during non-RV times, general driving, work, commuting, etc.
- If your engine/transmission goes out or collision, you haven't lost your RV
Cons:
- you need a tow vehicle that may not suit your needs otherwise.
- tow vehicle external to RV, can't just get out of the driver's seat and head to the kitchen
