You're on the right track picking from two great trucks which BTW happen to be assembled in the USA and both are American company's unlike the Ram/FCA product.
My '12 Super Duty now has 94k miles and not a single repair to date. Windshield wipers, 3rd brake light bulb, and tires are the only items replaced to date. The Super Duty has a wide cab with plenty of room. The little things like the largest interior window sill to rest your elbow on, and a interior that is rattle free. The Power Stroke is down right a power house and is a pleasure to drive.
I haven't driven the latest GM trucks so I can't share any direct experience with them.
