Kudos to Ford, they built an inhouse transmission that is very robust, and has a better track record than their engines ahead of it. Good on Ford!
The current Allison 1000 is at it's limits and is most likely the reason for GM's lower HP and Torque settings. That will have to be addressed before that can play in the same numbers league as the other two.
The RAM 68RFE is a OK tranny and a big improvement over the 47/48RE's with only 4 gears, however the Aisin now in the RAMs this the best of all of them period, it out weighs the 68RFE by a hundred pounds. The 68RFE is the only light weight of the four.
