You read into it what you want to but that doesn't make it so as to the message!
The meaning of my statement is clearly that FCA doesn't own Cummins nor manufactures their own HD truck diesels but only purchases them from a supplier. While both Ford and GM not only owns their own HD truck diesel engines, the patents, and the exclusive rights to manufacture them. Plus, only GM both owns and also manufacturers their own corporate HD diesel engine and does it here in the USA with American workers. Cummins is a stand alone manufacturer and merely sells and exports their manufactured engines to FCA in Mexico for installation into Ram HD trucks and then imports the vehicle into the USA and Canada to sell. Did you miss the word "Ram" as that is what the post clearly was referring to? Reading and comprehension is a very positive attribute that should have been learned early in life! Nit-picking of wording is not a very desirable attribute!
