Prropane water heater (electric start)

Well here it is.....

Lite the propane heater and it started and I kept busy with other projects and a noticed the heater had stopped a short while after.
tried to re lite and noticed that the red light at the switch over the sink was not on.....
Have i killed the heater or is there a fuse or reset switch I am not seeing ???

Need your help on this one folks

Thanks
  • Hello all

Found that reset button on the front of the water heater and problem was solved.....

Still not sure what make the heater is as i can find no manufacturer,s name

Thanks for all your your help
  • Thanks for this info . I will check this out and let you know how it works out
  • The red lighted switch in both of mine is only on when the heater is lighting. Once the heater is lit and operating the light goes out.
  • Mine has a reset button behind a round piece of rubber up and to the left of the drain plug. Also mine is a Suburban water heater

    Happy Trails!
  • Check water coming out of tank....is it hot?

If really hot then high temp t-stat may have operated (opened) because normal t-stat failed

May be able to reset by pushing small button on t-stat (after temp has cooled off)

    What Brand/Model?
  • Start with the simple first:
Make sure the water heater tank has water in it.
Make sure the propane line does not have air in it...bleed the line by lighting the kitchen stove.
  • Red light would come on if water heater faulted for some reason.
Are you sure it quit working or got up to temperature and the thermostat shut it down?
