PSI With New Tires...

I've been towing a 26' 8,000# camper with my Ram 1500 for the past 4 years with the stock passenger tires. Door jamb says 39 psi. Tomorrow I am having a set of BFG LT tires put on and was wondering if the psi should remain at 39.

Also, what about when towing? Should I adjust the psi when towing? I've never changed it.

When towing, fill the tires up to the max on the tire sidewall.

IMHO, not on the tow vehicle. That could be as high as 80 psi and make it squirly and unsafe.
The best thing you could do is load it all up and then go to a scale. Then you can check the tire manufacturers site for the correct pressure for your weight.
Personally, I would probably just start at 50~60 PSI and see how it goes for both empty and towing. If it's rough when empty you may want to drop it a bit.
