Pulled the trigger today. . .

. . . on a new tow vehicle. 2002 Ford Excursion Limited. V-10, 4.10 rear, 2WD. It's a southern cream puff with 140,000 miles and not a speck of rust. Going to need ball joints and a front wheel bearing but it's good to go! Has new plugs, coils, breaks, alternator and battery.
  • I had a '99 F250 V10 Auto and 4.30's, was a dog, I would have gone with an '03 with the high output 6.8 or a 7.3 PS. I got a '14 Ram 6.7 w/Cummins 2 years ago and sold the Ford. Night and day difference!

    Quite interesting...

My 99 V10 with 3.73 gears was a beast and could pull at any speed my heart desires. :)

Sometimes I was at 4,500-5,000 RPM but it would pull that all day long.

7.5 MPG...that was no fun though.

    Thanks!
