the ????? lb tow rating of your truck, is for pulling a trailer.
a 5th wheel or gooseneck is different.
you have to stay under the rated capacity for your rear axles. ***that includes the truck, hitch, occupants and supplies in the truck.
plus anything added to the 5th wheel, aka supplies, water and clothing will add to the factory hitch weight.
if you can stay under the rear axle rating. you should be o.k.
also make sure your tires and rims are rated for the load you plan on placing on them...
i've had rims split due to over loading... not fun changing a tire in 110'f + heat....
i wouldn't want to do the tow.... been there done that....
i'd offer to move it for you, but, i recently sold my 1 ton truck.
