Now being able to CARRY the pin weight of a heavily loaded fifth wheel is the factor most all should be concerned with.
So asking about pulling is actually asking the WRONG question.
Good point. To add to that, tow ratings increase with gear changes like 3.42-4.10. So from a manufacture stand point it's not about the handling it's more of a mechanical issue.
Number one problem of newbies is just looking at the inflated tow ratings.
