Tow ratings are not usually helpful for half ton and smaller vehicles. They typically exceed some other rating well under the tow rating. Receiver and payload are more common to be the limit.
7500 pounds dry vs. trailer GVWR is significant. RVers tend to add 1000+ pounds of stuff for weened RVing. Families and full timers more, couples less. 7500 pounds dry is 8500-9000 loaded with maybe 1100 pounds of TW compared to closer to 900 TW for 7500 pounds loaded. Check your tire and loading sticker on the driver's door for as equipped payload, max combined weight of occupants and cargo. F-150s vary from 800 to 3000 pounds. If you have 1200 pounds, you may not handle 900 pounds of TW plus a family in the cab and a bed full of camping gear. If you have 1600, that might work.
