Pulling a 7500# Travel Trailer
I am looking to buy a TT that is 7500#. I have a 2010 f150 with 5.4liter, 3.55, and 145"WB. I am rated up to 9600#. I am wondering if this 7500# TT is to much weight to be pulled by my 2010 f-1...

Way too heavy for the F150. I towed a loaded 7300lb TT with my 2010 F150 5.4 MaxTow. Hated it. The worst part was the lousy 6sp tranny. No way to lock out OD. The tranny wants to hunt for gears most the time. IMO it's part tranny, part underpowered 5.4. The 5.4 doesn't have enough power to hold a gear with that weight. MPG's are around 8.5-9, which is on the low end for gassers. With 7500lbs dry you most likely will be 8500lbs loaded. That's 1000lbs+ on the receiver. Add in passengers and what ever else and you'll be close to the RAWR.
I would look for a TT in the 5000lb dry range.
