Pullout step system instead of folding steps? Where to find?

Question

Although the fold out steps that come with most TCs are functional and easy to use, they are the lowest point on our camper. We were rudely reminded of this fact while crossing a wash. Ahem. Let's just say we had to do some VERY creative campsite (in the middle of a wildlife reserve) disassembling and rebending of numerous plates and flanges. It is back to 95% anyway.

So, on a quest to find lower profile options I have researched everything from Torklift to those flip up stairs that stow in your doorway to electric retractable steps to...I don't like any of them for whatever reason.

As we have a long rear overhang and side entrance door, I thought a slide out step system would be ideal. Something like these pics. Has anyone come across a supplier of this idea in the US? Probably in the trucker market? If not, maybe I can have my son fabricate one, aluminum of course.

I think the ladders that came with Snow Rivers were similar.  I think the harder part is having the space under the door for the ladder to slide into.  In any case, look at some Snow River pictures.

Have never seen something like that on TC, but looking at the picture, that design require mounting to sturdy frame. You don't have such on TC even if you have basement to hide steps in it.
They also look like 5 times heavier than Glow Steps.

Thanks for the info. Those Snowriver steps look just like what I am searching for. Too bad Snowriver is out of business. We'll see if it is worth contacting the outfit in Canada.

I think I have the space to mount such a system. I have no basement cubby, but have plenty of overhang space and could mount into the area where the current folding steps are.
