pumping creek water

I boondock about 25' from a creek on a regular basis. and am wondering if there is a way to pump water into my rig using a sump or sumpin'. has any body ever done this and where can i get one? Thanks
ps) the water would only be used for showers & washing dishes. i have never drank from my tap. we always bring bottled

  • That 12 volt one already posted would work good..Use the appropriate amount of bleach and boil you dish water and you won't have any problem..We wash our dishes with creek water all the time.

I wouldn't put it in the tank without treatment as we do use the water system to drink from.Could make the next buyer sick if not treated!

    x2 Not a good idea.

There could be all kinds of nasty stuff in the water. Even with a very low micron filtration setup I wouldn't do it because unless you know exactly (by lab testing) what's in the water, filters you choose may not filter out what's bad in the water like such as various chemicals and numerous diseases for ex.
