Little bit of gas won't hurt anything in a diesel. Vice versa in a gasser. It might throw a code from a sensor, but keep on trucking. "Little" being a relative term. 2 gallons in a 20+ gallon tank...no problem.
Here in FL, diesel pumps can be any color, but usually if not green, they're separated from the gas pumps.
Well if you live in Oregon or new Jersey, we are seen as too stupid to pump our own gas, so we have attendants. We can pump diesel, but I watch closely as it keeps my hands clean. :B
