Purchasing a new trailer

My husband and I are wanting to buy a new travel trailer. We are ready to start looking for models, but would like your input. Our likes would be a queen bed in the back of the trailer and the bath also. If possible, 2 entrances, NO bunks. Our extra sleeping would be from the sofa and dining. The weight should not be more than 6000-7000 and the length 30-32 ft. We hope to start looking soon, but your input will be helpful to help us begin. Thank you.

  • What are the numbers on your TV? Or will you buy a TV after a TT is selected? Are you mixing RV parks and dry/boondocking or doing mostly one or the other? Will you camp only in the warmer months? This is your dream. Define it.
  • You would have a lot more choices if you would take a second look at having a forward bedroom instaed of in the rear.
Also beware that many queen beds are short. Some manufacturers like Northwood are installing full length queens as models are updated.
Also, a lot will depend on your budget.
  • Look at Lance, mostly front bedrooms buy built to last and solid. 4 Seasons, Azdel in the wall (no wood to rot. mold or mildew. Probably thee best built TT available but it is a premium price too. Look at their website to see their current offerings. Oh an they're a huck bolted frame (no welds) etc!
  • The Palomino Puma 30FKSS

Pros: Rear Queen, Mid Bath, Front Kitchen, two entry doors.

Cons: 34ft 9in long, dry weight 7792 lbs, hitch wt 1228 lbs.

An odd floorplan as most I have seen have the "Master Bed" in the front, then either bath mid or rear, and kitchen either mid or rear.

But, there it is...an option, or not.
